Keyboard Cover, any recommendations?

#1 Post by rukiri » Fri Jul 20, 2007 6:11 pm

Just what the title says. I know lots of ppl have screens with keyboard scuffs on them, any recommendations on a little cover/mat for your keyboard to keep your LCD's clean while transporting your laptops?

I use a simple microfiber cleaning cloth... will not scratch anything and you can use it to dust/clean the screen, too.

radtech.us sells some very nice covers and I'm a huge fan of their Omnicleanz product.

pipspeak, do you have a link to what kind of cloth you get? All the microfiber clothes i see online are 16"X16"

I have one for my z60t from a company called shaggymac that makes them specifically for your model laptop. Works great - EXCEPT that my z60t seems to have an extremely sensitive power button, and having the cloth in there magnifies the problem, and sometimes switches the computer on while traveling. Not sure if this issue is specific to my model, individual machine or what, but just something to be aware of.

seems like the shaggymac's and the radtech covers are nigh identical. If only they didn't cost ~17 bucks after shipping....

The ShaggyMac Laptop Screen Protectoris a better fit and it comes with an iKlear travel single. Very nice fit and finished product. Totally worth $12. My ThinkPad is happy.
