Wireless Personal Area Network

When configuring a T61 15" there is an option in the BlueTooth / Wireless Personal Area Network section for "ThinkPad Wireless USB Adapter". The cost for this option is Zero $. I can't figure out what this option is since the laptop already has wireless and a search doesn't turn up any useful info. Anybody know what it is?

Bluetooth allows you to connect to other bluetooth deivces via PAN profile that simulates a WLAN. That said, it's rather useless since it's very slow.
