Where does this piece go?

Got my laptop back from support and this piece was laying in the box:

Anyone know where it goes and if it is important?

well that's the HD cover on the right on the Thinkpad. It's sorta important i guess. It's also used to remove the HD from the slot because you can't get your fingers in there to pull it out.

If you already have one then i guess you got lucky You got a spare HD cover.

actually after looking closely at that image and video and realizing you have a T6x series that's from a T4x series system. probably fell into your box. It looks exactly like the one i have, i didn't realize the T6x series had a different one.
