now that my t61 is on its way I wanted to get feedback from people about sleeves
i'm thinking of one like this:
an Incase Neoprene Sleeve type thing
http://www.goincase.com/products/detail ... ve-cl57078
or a crumpler 15" wide grip
or a Tom Bihn soft cell
http://www.tombihn.com/page/001/PROD/300/TB0374
what do people recommend? i'm getting a t61 14.1" w/ 6cell battery.
thanks for your input.

search and you'll find lots of discussion on sleeves. I still think the mods should make an accessories sticky... but anyway..
places to check out
sfbags.com
timbuk2
and... i forget all the rest already...
use the search function, it is your friend.

yeah sorry i did a bit of a search for other threads, and found some discussion on the subject, especially in the marketplace forum, but struggled/didn't have time to find and read through all of them,
anyways i appologise!
After some research I ended up buying a DICOTA Perfect Skin 15.4"
http://www.dicota.com/start.php?office= ... ils&ds=404
I'll let you know exactly how it fits and my opinion of it, when i get it and my t61.

Duluth Trading used to have a set of neoprene zipper bags for $20 plus shipping. You would get 5 bags, one that would fit the T61, then half that size twice then one that would be good for a small camera case (like a Canon SD600 or something like that) and then another that would work as a glasses case.
Not sure if they still have them or not... a quick search yielded nothing but they were always a little tough to find.

That Dicota is one inch to big on both sides.
I haven't find a good sleeve neither, but ordered a 15" 4:3 Crumpler The Gimp
With the 6 cell battery the dimensions of the T61 are like the size of a 15" 4:3 notebook.

yeah the t61 14.1" with 6 cell is: 13.2 10.3 1.3
(numbers above from
www.sfbags.com)
the Dicota PerfectSkin 15.4" is: 14.2 10.4 1.4
(Length x Height x Depth)
so the Dicota PerfectSkin should fit, tho i'll find out when i get it!

Lenovo should make perfect-fitting sleeves for their own notebooks, just like that Z-brand Zepto does.
You can even get a perfect-fitting sleeve for an ugly Mac, but not for a beatiful ThinkPad
