Vista COA label deteriorating

Hi all,

I bought my T60p less than six months ago through the Lenovo website. After one month, I noticed the printing of the first line "Windows Vista Business w/DVD Pack OEMAct Lenovo Singapore & 7-digit bar code" of the Vista COA label on the bottom of the notebook began to fade. By now this line is very hard to read while the product key remains sharp. The label itself is loose and peeling near the pot-hole. I think in a couple of months this line will disappear. Has anyone else experienced this? Do I need to report this? If my computer ever needs to be sent for repair, would this be a problem?

Thank you for your input.

Why not use one of those clear plastic laminate sheets(the ones used for laminating photos and licenses etc), cut slightly larger than the sticker and apply it over the sticker?

No, never, lenovo has better tools to verify which license your machine was bought with.

I suggest you note down the oem license key somewhere and keep it handy.

yeah, worry more about not losing the product key - I doubt Lenovo keeps tabs on those, and without one, you might as well be a dirty pirate in Microsoft's eyes.
