Hi,

I hate to be such an intense newbie but.. I can't help asking...

I have a T61 and I have three green-lighted icons on the exterior of my case and 9 green-lighted icons at the bottom of my screen. I know what some of them represent, but I can't figure out what the others are for.

Wireless Tower - Wi-Fi is on or off
Bluetooth Logo - B.Tooth is on or off
Caps Lock Indicator
Num. Lock Indicator
Cylinder w/ Arrow - Hard Drive access (right?)
Circle w/ Zig-Zag through it - *I have no idea- modem maybe?*
Battery w/ Plus Sign on it - *Again, no idea*
Elect. Cord w/ Prongs - ThinkPad is charging?
Crescent Moon - Sleep mode activated

So, as you can tell, I couldn't figure out what some icons were... durrr.... Please help. Thanks!

Paerra, all of the icons are in the manual that comes with the Thinkpad. Hehehe I think everyone seems to be too excited and jumps right at their new notebook instead of reading its manual.

There are several status, like Green light, Orange light, blinking, Orange blinking in some LEDs. Here's the quick guide of the remaining lights in question.

Wireless Tower -> Wifi On/Off AND activities on the wireless. You'll see this blinking in some OS (like Linux) showing activites, not just on-off

Cylinder w/Arrow -> HDD activites

Circle w/ Zig-Zag through it -> Power is ON or OFF

Battery w/ Plus sign -> Battery status (Green -> OK; Orange blinking ->low batt; Orange steady -> charging

Elect. Cord w/ Prongs -> AC Power in

Crescent Moon -> Stand by mode
