Active prodection system compatibility

#1 Post by cy2132 » Thu Jul 26, 2007 12:54 am

Hello guys,

I'm thinking about upgrading my t61 hard drive to this one:
Seagate Momentus 7200.2 - 120GB - 7200rpm - 150MBps SATA

Does anyone know the compatibility of this drive and the thinkvantage Active protection system?

And I would also like to hear anyone's experience about this drive, thanks!

There is no issue, it runs fine. Seagate offer the same kind of feature with G-Force Protection™ on ST9160823ASG.

The active protection works fine on my Seagate 7200.1.

APS is independent of hard disk drive, it's the integrated motion sensor that does the job.
"I've come a long, long way," she said, "and I will go as far,
With the man who takes me from my horse, and leads me to a bar."
The man who took her off her steed, and stood her to a beer,
Were a bleary-eyed Surveyor and a DRUNKEN ENGINEER.
