Fingerprint reader works without Windows Password ?

Fingerprint reader works without Windows Password ?

I have no win password(at the beginning) so i dont have to type something in when win starts. but to configure the first time the fingerprint reader you have to type your win password. if i let it blank he says that he needs a pw.....and without he dont let me go further....any1 knows about it ?

You do need to have a windows password in order that a fingerprint can be associated to it.
However, you can configure the fingerprint reader to associate also with BIOS passwords, so that when you turn the TP on it requires one sweep of a finger and it boots through into that users windows account without having to enter another pw. i.e. R. Index finger = administrator/local machine and L. Index finger = meditate2001/local machine.
