Computer randomly unlocks itself.

Sometimes after locking my computer (windows key+L), it will unlock itself after a few seconds. How can I prevent this?

Is this a screensaver lock of a logoff? If you don't have an external keyboard or mouse hooked up to the laptop I am guessing it might be an ultranav or trackpoint problem. Does the cursor drift at all when left alone?

It's not a screen saver lock. It's a windows key+L that makes it play that sound, and makes everything on the screen disappear except for the wall paper and a window that says you need to scan your finger to unlock the computer.
the mouse doesn't move on its own.
the only reason i know it's unlocking itself is because i start to walk away from it, and then it plays the unlocking noise.

Try uninstalling then reinstalling the latest version of the Thinkpad fingerprint software?
