T60P, periodic flashes of the display

I am seeing, maybe every 10 minutes or so, a flash of the display. Looks like it just rebuilt the whole buffer or such. It goes blank for maybe 150 Msec and then rewrites.
I have an expernal flat panel and the Flexview 15" in this T60P 2623DDU with ATI FireGL 5200. Both external and internal displays run at 1600 X 1200.

I get this also on my 2623-DDU.
It almost seems that the power went out and came back on. I think this has happened when the power did go off but also happens when the power did not go off.
Didn't and hasn't happened with the two T43p's that I use occasionally.

Had this issue, too on my T60. Upgrading to latest bios and ATI driver solved this problem.

I updated with system update a few days ago and there was no new BIOS that system update found. I just started system update again and now there are five updates. No BIOS but there is a ATI update which is over 50mb.
