T61 with 4:3 Screen Option

Some good folks posting on the TP X6x area provided a link to an area on Lenovo's website offering T61s with a 4:3 screen option models 8895W1J and 8889W16.

Is anyone familiar with this area of Lenovo's website since the T61 4:3 screen option does not appear on the general website?

There is another link floating around that goes direct to the 8895CTO page... it's a corporate order page I think. Worked for me (so far).

The 8895 model is the 4:3 with integrated graphics and as soon as you configure with discrete graphics card the model changes to 8889. All the 4:3 models are significantly more expensive than similarly-configured widescreens, however.

Buy.com has a model 8895-2FU T61 4:3 available in stock as a sale item right now for a little under $1200 here:

Supposedly that one ships in 1-2 business days; I'd be interested if anyone orders it as I haven't seen many first-hand comments on the 4:3 models, but maybe I'm just not searching hard enough.

They offer another 4:3 model as well (8889-24U) with better specs, but it's not in stock. It's specs are listed here:
