Please help!
My laptop, after it came out of standby, when I opened the lid, the touchpad didn't work, and neither did the two button underneath it.
I have 1GB of RAM, and a 60 (or 70) GB hard drive.
I am using an IBM ThinkPad T60
Please help, as it is really frustrating using the red thingy...
Thanks in advanced,
Panarchy
PS: I have tried restarting the computer...

The "red thingy"?? LOL...
Actually, the gods are smiling on you! They took away your horrid touchpad in order to force you to use the TrackPoint for your own good...they know that once you finally learn how to use it, you will be thankful and swear off the "gliding surface thingy."
Seriously, you might want to check Control Panel -> Mouse -> UltraNav tab. Tell us if "Enable Touchpad" is checked, and if not, whether it is grayed out or not. If it is not grayed out, check it, and hit Apply/OK. If it is grayed out, first thing to check is Control Panel -> ThinkPad Configuration, click on Touch Pad on the left side, and make sure it is set to Automatic instead of Disable. If it asks you to reboot following the change, do so. If you can't change it/Touch Pad in ThinkPad Configuration is also grayed out, you will need to go into the BIOS setup and make sure it is enabled there.

If UltraNav tab is gone, something must have happened to your mouse/UltraNav drivers.
Did you recently install any new drivers for a new, external mouse? I've heard of situations where these conflict with the UltraNav drivers; you might want to start out by removing those.
If not, or if removing them doesn't help, sounds like it is time to remove and then reinstall the UltraNav drivers. Look for the ThinkPad UltraNav Driver and UltraNav Wizard programs under Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel, and uninstall them. Reboot (most likely). Then either download the latest drivers from lenovo.com/support and install those, or reinstall the same drivers you had before by going to My Computer -> C: Drive -> SWTOOLS folder -> DRIVERS folder -> UNAV (and UNAVWIZ) folder(s), and run the SETUP applications in those folders.

Nope!
But, I did recently use my laptop with an external monitor (self installed, started yesterday night), and I have installed Photoshop CS3 and Office 2007 Enterprise...
Also I have installed Python & Abyss Web Server.
That is all I have installed today and yesterday, oh yeah and DivX.
