Hi,

I tried to order a T61p from Lenovo's site but they refused my order because i had an international credit card. I am a student and i don't have a US credit card, but i do have a US address to ship to (Aramex).

Does anyone know of an online store where i can get a T61p (other than the Lenovo site)? I would really appreciate it because i don't want to get a Dell again , or any other brand .. I have a Z60m, and ever since i tried it, i was sure that IBM thinkpads are my best choice for their excellent quality..

I am looking for a mobile workstation..

Thanks :)

For non US issued credit cards, only (intl) American Express will be accepted on lenovo website. Call lenovo and explain this situation to a rep, if you're in US then chances are your order might get accommodated.

If Lenovo will not accept you CC you can always apply for US CC. I think you can get it within a week or so if you apply by phone.

Well, get a US bank account (you need a letter from your school).

Well it is complicated. I study in the UK and not the US, but i want a US spec T61p (Keyboard and price) and that's why i paid around $40 for an online shopping US address through Aramex. And right now i am back home in Qatar where the IBM/Lenovo company doesn't have any Thinkpads and didn't even order any!! I will be going back to the UK for my last year in university on the first of October so i planned to order a thinkpad and pray that it arrives here soon and before i head back to the UK.

Do you know of any other workstations with similar quality? That i might find easier and faster?

Thanks again for your assistance and reply :)
