160 MB "disk encryption" option?
160 MB "disk encryption" option?
This option is offered on the Lenovo site for $50 more. Do I want this or am I going to enter a realm of unintended consequences? I assume there is "some" performance tradeoff. Thank you for considering my question.

Performance impact will be almost unnoticable - its just a hardware implementation similar to safeguard easy. Only get it if your really really paranoid that someone might want to get data off your drive.SteveDC wrote:This option is offered on the Lenovo site for $50 more.
