T60 - Can I connect AC without connecting to my battery?

i wonder if i can connect AC without connecting the battery
because i dont want to wear the battery out.
i know it wont charge the battery when it is full or 96% full or more.

Yes you can, but it's not a good idea, because if you accidentally unplug the AC adapter, the machine turns off and you lose all unsaved data. Just leave the battery in the machine, and use Battery Maximiser to change the charging thresholds.

Yeah, I had wondered about this with recent TP's until I saw functioning demo models at Staples etc working without batteries. :)

another thing is that i find my T60 very quite, i can bearly hear the fan noice. (maybe its because i got used to my noisey desktop)
