T61, Touchpad just freezes, stops responding...anyone?

Ive had this happen a couple times now, just randomly, my Touchpad will stop working, as well as the trackpoint. Keyboard still works. and if i connect a USB mouse and keyboard, they work as well. I have to reboot to get the touchpad working agagin.

anyone else? i have the latest drivers as well.

Same thing happens on my T60p under Windows XP. Often when waking from sleep the trackpad/trackpoint is disabled and sometimes the keyboard too.

Sometimes it happens on boot-up as well.

I've re-installed the Synaptics drivers as well as the Thinkpad native drivers via System Update, both together and individually, with no effect.

I've re-seated the cables several time, no effect. Under other OSes like Ubuntu it works fine every time.

any help is appreciated.
