i've just get my T61 arrived. there is also a model number "7663 AC9" and serial number "L3ALxxx". I wonder what this number means. Does anyone have any idea? some of my friends told me that 7663 means T61 that have 3 years international warranty. is that correct?

well normally what you'd do is go to this page:
Lenovo Downloads page
and then type in your "model number" and that will give you the original specs of the machine as it was shipped. Since yours is brand new it apparently isn't even updated yet to reflect that. If you want to see what it normally would look like just put in mine, 2373-K5U
As for your serial, most people here will tell you not to show that on a public forum. While it's probably unlikely, someone could call it in and report the machine stolen and therefore invalidating your warranty and Lenovo wouldn't return it to you if you did try to do a warranty claim and sent it in. More of a hassle than anything else to proove that you're the owner but delete that anyways. Your warranty isn't available yet on the site either.

It looks like to me you have three year depot repair based on
this page.

A mod really should edit the OPs post in case he doesn't come back so soon.
Moderator edit: Thanks for pointing that out. Although it's probably not too sensitive, better safe than sorry.

It's not a problem for me,

and the only way it will get better is to use it.
I hope you where not shaken up yesterday in the quake?
