I don't know if it's possible to find out which factory, but it is possible to find out which manufacturer.

I learnt this in this forum, but can't find the post in order to credit the right member.

Go to the following site, enter type and s/n, copy the FRU nr from the component you want to know more about and paste it into the search box top right. You should then hopefully know everything you want to know.
