heres what happened.

i opened up fatwallet, (for the 4% cashback). and it took me to the lenovo site. i ordered a T61, applied the discount. and paid for it, i got the e-mail and everything. then i notice the price. it came to around $1500, i was like wtf, and i noticed that my discount wasn't applied.

so i started over, and configured it and ordered again. this time it was the right amount, and so i ordered 2 T61s basically. i left an e-mail with the customer/order number to cancel the first order.
i tried calling, but they were closed.

am i screwed? or is it easy to cancel orders ?

should i call again tomorrow or will the e-mail handle it?

they shouldn't charge you till the system is shipped so just call again on Tuesday if it isn't taken care of tomorrow.

You should definitely call tomorrow and cancel. I would not trust the e-mail method personally. Once you get someone on the phone they will canel it immediately.

Sadly my personal experience was not very good in that respect. I had ordered a T60P and then discovered I could get a much better deal for an also better configured Txx. So I called and cancelled ( two weeks before shipping date, it was actually shipped on time and I had to refuse delivery)and all seemed well and I ordered from Cost Central, which by the way is great to deal with. Long story short after noticing a charge to my card I called my rep again and he sent me another confirmation of cancellation. Two months to finally get it resolved. Everyone I had to deal with was very nice, but it was a " RPA ".. :banghead:

It is really a bad idea to refuse delivery on such an expensive item and to count on the shipping company to return it safely. Get an RMA then pay for the shipping with insurance, tracking, and signature delivery confirmation. Or else wait 2 months and pray ...

Should have been more specific. When I found out it had shipped even after the cancellation I called and got a RMA to give the UPS driver...

Your confusion is irrational, there shouldn't be any problem from lenovo's end. Lenovo would be more than happy to assist you in canceling your order without giving it's customer any hassle.
