Bluetooth Issue

Hey all

I received a new T60 about a week or so ago. I was looking foward to having bluetooth capabilities, but alas, it does not seem to be working (or, most likely, its me who can't figure out how to use it!).

I am using Windows XP.

There is a bluetooth icon at the bottom right of the screen - but when I hover the mouse over it it says 'No Device Found'! I tried connecting my cell phone, but it (the phone or the computer) does not detect anything!

How can I get it to work? In the 'system settings' it says the driver is installed and working.

I am also not very techincal, so please give me the 'lay-mans' version.

Many thanks...

Hi,

Have you tried Fn and F5? (Whilst holding down the Fn key bottom left, then tap F5)
It should bring up the wireless radio control window.

Also, there is a switch on the front left that will turn the radios on or off.

Just guessing, cus Im a bit of a thinkpad newbie myself.

Paul.

No problem, glad to be able to help someone.

Heres something I only just found out...

If you have a web page or window open with a scroll bar down the right hand side, you can scroll down by dragging your finger down the right side of the touchpad. If it has a scroll bar on the bottom, drag your finger along the bottom of hte touchpad.

One day, i should really read the manual!!!

Hey

I figured out the scrolling bit - one can really customise it by going to the ThinkVantage Centre - ThinkPad Configuration and setup virtual scrolling etc...a little too advanced for me at this stage!

Although, that type of scrolling does not seem to work with MS Office 2007...

you need to update your drivers for the trackpoint/ultranav. The newest drivers fix or should i say add scrolling support in Office 2007.
