Are you experiencing any issues with I.E. 7. There is a big latency when closing a window or closing out of IE7 completely. I also run Vista and XP on this same machine and IE7 and have zero problems.
I have searched technet, and MS server forums, but can't find anything.
2003 Server Enterprise SP2, completely up to date.

Mike, look at this IE7 update, maybe this will set things right.

edit:
just noticed that you are up-to-date. Will see if I can find anything else.

IE7 (7.0.5730.11) works flawlessly for me in server 2003 standard. firefox, however, has what appears to be an issue with java/javascript and will hang. i have to open IE or repair my wireless connection for firefox to work again.
perhaps your IE7 issues are somehow related to my firefox issues.

erik, maybe we could swap browser's
I also have 2003 server standard running on another machine (not a laptop) totally updated and have no issues with IE7.

i'm down for that as i'd rather use firefox.
try this in your registry and see if the latency goes away:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop]
"AutoEndTasks"="1"
"HungAppTimeout"="1000"
"WaitToKillAppTimeout"="1000"

Erik, I applied all three edit's and so far so good! I still notice a hang but it's just barely noticable:)
Much appreciated.

glad that helped. "1000" is 1 full second so you can always decrease it to 100 or 0 to eliminate the lag.
