Fingerprint Reader with no CSS

Hi all. I have a Thinkpad T60, running Windows XP. I have started to get really annoyed with the long bootup that seems to be a result of Client Security Solution 7.0, but I rather like the fingerprint reader. I've heard it's possible to get rid of CSS yet keep the fingerprint reader.

I was wondering how I can go about doing this? Is it as simple as uninstalling CSS? If so, how will I control the fingerprint reader (i.e. add new fingerprints, remove them, etc.)? Is there any disadvantage to uninstalling CSS? I don't use the password manager. Can I simply uninstall it in control panel?

Thanks!
Snowman

Yes.

Thinkvantage Fingerprint reader handles the user enrollment (modify, add/remove etc.) and not CSS.
