Hi,

Not long ago I purchased a T60 and ended up with the Samsung LCD which is viewed by some (many?) as being inferior to the LG Phillips LCD. I am unable to agree because I haven't seen the LG Phillips screen but was disappointed with the quality or picture produced by the Samsung LCD.

As I now have a requirement (whim) for a second ThinkPad in a second location instead of moving my T60 back and forth twice a day, I am thinking about a 14 or 15in T61 but wonder does it:

1) Have the same LCD issues as the T60 i.e. some better than the others; and
2) Where is the 4 in 1 memory card reader located.

I read than it is optional on a 14in model and replaces a PCMCIA card slot and standard on a 15in model. Does this mean that you can't have the reader AND even one PCMCIA card slot on a 14in model and where is it located on a 15in model. Can anyone post or email some pictures?

2. On the left side in 14.1'' WS and on the front end, underneath/close to the palmrest on 15.4'' models.

There is an option to get PC card and media card together on 14.1'' WS model.

I posted some pictures of 14.1'' WS a while back, since I am not hosting it anymore so google is your friend. For 15.4'', I posted
these pictures a little while ago.

Thanks I think you (and others) helped my in March when I was looking at T60 offered by US resellers. In the end it was too difficult and I ended with the Samsung screen which is a little disappointing.

1) So as with the T60, is an LG Phillips still the preferred LCD? and
2) So for the 14in is it one PC card slot and 1 4in1 card reader, one underneath the other?

I tried Google if that is what you were suggesting and came up with very little. Are your pictures of the 14.1in T61 (as this is the size I think I will end up buying) still available anywhere or could email them to me?

i know i will but don't want to appear ungrateful but why would you post such out of focus and poorly lit photos? I can't make much out so I guess as you suggest Google is my friend...

Yeah sorry. As I scrolled down after my post the pictures did get a little better. But I have seen better!
