Another New Member Post

My mom used a t60 for work and i was impressed the the build and the IBM brand so i took the plunge and Finally after a month and a half of orders not being canceled, wrong orders, wrong shipping dates, etc etc (long story) i got my prized t61!!!

So far so good. i love this F*$%in NOTEBOOK!! best one so far.
i have the typical spec set up
120gb hdd
2gb ram
Memory card reader
fingerprint reader
2.0ghz santa rosa
9 cell battery
15.4 inch screen
AND even the original "IBM" logo was included, i was scared that the new ugly lenovo sticker would have replaced the older logo.

i was weary at first with the t61's built quality with all the threads going around saying how it creeked and wasnt balanced etc etc, but thankfully my notebook didnt exhibit any of those common mishaps.

the keyboard itself is wonderful, now i really know why laptop mag was so impressed by it. Comparing it to my friend's macbook theres no match whatsoever.

Please correct me if im wrong with my observations but I noticed some design changes on the unit. not sure if this was because of the different sized screen (i have the 15.4 inch) or because of the memory card reader which goes on the front, but the speakers, usually located on the sides of the notebook are now behind the keyboard close to the screen. and another design change that i took note of was the relocation of the speaker and mic input and output, for which they have moved to the left side of the unit.
