T61p WUXGA screen quality

I notice something odd with my screen. It's only really noticeable on a solid, light colored background (e.g., the white of my e-mail program), but it's as if the screen coating or screen itself has little veins/hair-like imperfections. It's not as bad as it sounds as I have to look fairly closely to notice it (would rather have this than a single pixel out). If you move the window around the veins/hairs don't move, so it's definitely the screen rather than the particular program (also have an external LCD connected and they don't appear on it). Is this normal for this screen? Anyone else with the WUXGA notice this?
