I was googling T61p 8889 when I found these nice pictures about a T61 4:3 in a forum (undigi).

I have a widescreen powerbook g4 (15", 1280x854) while I had before a 15" SXGA+ acer tm800, and I'm definitively going back to 4:3, looking for an SXGA+ 14" T61 with integrated graphics, in France.

I have never had any kind of WideScreen stuff but this 4:3 looks much nicer.

Not true at all-I have had a 15.4" widescreen T60p for a few months and although the screen is nice, I cannot stand the extra weight and size. So, a 14.1" 4:3 T61p is on order. I will stay away from widescreen laptops as long as possible.

False!

Once you release it's not wide, but just 'low' you are gonna miss the 1050 pixels instead of 900...

I had the T61 14.1" widescreen 1440x900 LCD display with the 2.0GHz T7300, 1GB RAM, 80GB HD, Integrated graphics, and Windows Vista Home Basic... within 5 days, I traded it with a Craigslist user for a brand new T60 with a 14.1 SXGA+ standard screen with a 1.83GHz T5600, 64MB ATI video card, 2GB RAM, and 80GB HD... with my personal fave... Windows XP Pro! I've never been happier with this machine! Widescreens are nice and all, but I prefer the 4:3 on the ThinkPad. I think the only thing I need to complete this machine is the Hitachi 7K200 200GB HD.
