Question T60P vs T61

#1 Post by inaris » Thu Aug 16, 2007 8:21 pm

we recently, <3 months, bought several T60P's due to them supporting 30" monitors for a specific application. now the time has come for us to get additioanl machines setup this way as well, but the T60P that we got is no longer available.
That being said, I can't seem to find anything on whether the nvidia 570M that is in the T61p will support a 30" resolution.

Does anyone know of have information that will help me on this?

Thank you in advance

both the 128MB and 256MB 570m support WQXGA DVI-D output through the advanced and advanced mini docks.

Ok, so they support the DualLink DVI interface, but can they push the full resolution? This is where the issue is. What is the point of having a 30" without full resolution?

I can't find anything that indicates the full resultion that they can support.

resolution is determined by the video driver.   if the lenovo-provided ATI driver doesn't drive WQXGA then you might need a driver direct from ATI.   i know it's been done before and have read about it here on this forum.   search for 'T60', 'WQXGA', and/or '2560 1600' for more info.
