Hi,

I have a t60 (2007-fgv) that has a 1gb stick in, and A free memory slot. I would like to add an extra Gb as I havevista and the ram is always over 70%.

Do I need to get any specific brand of ram, or will any 1GB DDR2 PC2-5300C5 200-Pin SODIMM Module wqrk, and will it give me duel channel?

Could I ask you to have a look at this and let me know if it is the ricgh on for my thinkpad please?

Thanks, Paul.

Duel channel will be automatically enabled if you insert another (whatever brand/manufacturer) 1GB into the free slot.

The memory shown in the link is right for your thinkpad.

From you sig I see we have a similar spec t60...except the memory.
That will change by about 1pm.

Thanks again, Paul.

Hi,

Just to let anyone know that is about to upgrade their ram, its an easy job, and although I havent anybenchmarks to test, Vista seems quicker, definatly worth £30.

I found this page helpfull...

I can do it in 1 and a half mins.
You'd better now run PC-Doctor 5 for windows to test your new memory.
