Can't find a HMM with this LCD FRU

My T61 15.4 WSXGA+ order finally shipped. The parts list were available last night, but I can't find a Hardware Maintenance Manual with this LCD FRU number to find out the maker of the LCD
42T0422 42T0423 15.4 INCH LCD DISPLAY FRU YES
I've looked at the T61 HMM for my 6459 CTO and it is not listed. I also looked at older T60 15.4 HMM and it is not listed there either.
Has anybody come across the manufacture of the LCD?

42T0422 and 42T0423 sound like they might be part numbers and not FRU numbers. the two FRUs for the WSXGA+ T61 are 42X4641 (samsung) and 42T0417 (LG).
plug your machine type and serial number into
this site and it will report back with the FRU number to your exact display.

That is where I copied and pasted from. Any other ideas?

When you receive the thinkpad, using the serial number to lookup FRU numbers for all the parts is probably more reliable.

Sorry, maybe I should have been more clear.
I am using the serial number and I am using the type number at
lenovos part lookup page
The only other option to find the manufacture of the LCD is to run a 3rd party utility after I receive the notebook. But as soon I turn on the laptop I will know whether it's LG or Samsung (Samsung is crap), but I would like to at least have a little time to brace myself
I don't understand why the FRU number from the parts lookup can't be found in any HMM. The only thing I can think of is they changed FRU in august and the HMM hasn't been updated yet (HMM is still July).
Any other ideas?
*EDIT*
Here is a screenshot of my parts lookup img]

Sorry I misread some part of the post. Unknown FRU number for LCD panels happened in T4x series as well. Knowing the manufacturer is nice, how it looks to your eyes is what matters after all. Good luck!
I am hoping that I will get a TMD SXGA+ instead of a Samsung.

I don't understand either, but this seems to be the norm. I never could find the FRU for the keyboard on my T42 on IBM's site or in the HMM. I can only suggest to you that you search this forum with your FRU number or use Google. Maybe you will find someone that has taken their's apart and will correlate the FRU number with a manufacturer.

Well it just builds the suspense! I sold my beloved T60 because I hated the Samsung WSXGA+ panel... I'm really hoping this one is an LG.
I've been searching the thinkpad forums and google with that FRU already, but nothing has shown up yet... thanks for the advice though.

you can always try calling IBM maintenance parts at 800.388.7080 and asking them for some information on that FRU number.

chadwicktr, if I were you I would download and run pc wizard when you get the T61. I was told the same thing. I downloaded PC wizard and it came up samsung LTN154U2-L05. KInd of disappointed because I was told LG was better. But, I have not had any problem with the LCD monitor.

I won't have to run pcwizard to know whether it's Samsung or LG... I've had too many samsungs...
