Random bright pixel

I am noticing that my screen sometimes displays a single bright white pixel in random locations.

The white pixel is not fixed in location, sometimes it's in one place, and other times it's in another place, and it doesn't appear all the time. If I log off and log in again, it goes away, and if I reboot, it goes away.

What's up with this? Is this a software problem, a hardware problem or what?

IIRC it is touchpad driver bug. Update to latest version of driver from Lenovo.
