If that fits I am going to feel completely jipped for spending $100 on an Ultrabay battery with the part number from Lenovo

it'll fit perfectly. Only difference is the fact that the bezel on the battery is curved to match the T4x series curve on the side while the T6x series is flat. It will go in and wont be of any other problems other than the curve which sticks inwards into the laptop.
funnily enough i emailed them yesterday about those batteries also. MY main concerns were the fact that they were 3yrs old almost so the capacity even if it's new will drop significantly faster than a "new" one. Batteries loose capacity over time and 3yrs sitting on a shelf will definitely mean they will loose capacity faster. My 3yr old 6 cell was new when i got it bu it's now down to 17whrs after just 20 cycles none of any that were deep drains.
In regards to the above - this is what he replied:
Hi,
We have a $200 pickup minimum so if you’d like one, we’d have to ship it to you. As far as age goes that’s all we have, if you check out feedback people seem to be very pleased with them so far.
Thanks

That's a good point that I failed to think about when considering buying the battery. In fact, I did some research and found out that the "T6x advanced ultrabay slim battery" differs from this T4x generation one in capacity too. The T6x one has slightly more (2.7Ah as opposed to 2.2Ah). I guess it's not such a great deal now. Thanks for the info.

Could someone post links for an ultrabay battery that will fit in my upcoming 14" 4:3 t61p w/ 570m?
Also what else can I put in this modular bay other then a battery and a dvd drive..? What connector is on the inside of this modular bay?

The T4x ultrabay batteries will not fit the T6x machines.
Although they appear interchangable.......they use different connectors and are not compatable.

This will work with T61/p as well. Moreover, you can add an additional HDD through
ThinkPad Serial ATA Hard Drive Bay Adapter in the modular bay.

My ultrabay battery for me T61 is at 10 cycles, down from 29.16 WHr to 22.24
What a crap. I had expected that bad from Acer, not from Lenovo
Is it under warranty?

Sir, I am not sure what lenovo's policy is in Europe, but in North America almost all batteries lenovo supplies come with 1 year standard warranty. Someone once told me it's 3 months in Europe but I would suggest to give lenovo Netherlands a call to find things out and yes lenovo would exchange the problematic battery for you.

That's the same minus that thing in the middle which only t60 Ultrabay SATA devices have?
http://forum.thinkpads.com/viewtopic.php?t=47555 - is where i got that image and info from.

T4x and T6x ultrabay batteries are not interchangeable. T4x batteries have 5 pin connectors while the T6x batteries have 6 pin connectors.
Other T4x ultrabay accessories are interchangeable with the t6x, such as the cd/dvd/hard drives since they use a different connector.

Just for the record, as I found out, that wasn't SATA.

Is it possible to attach a 3.5" hard drive natively to the IBM via SATA or e-SATA ? I don't mind getting a little dirty and playing with the connectors inside the multibay.
I will be using photoshop mostly with my machine and want to get a 15,000 RPM drive. I got a firewire enclosure, but would prefer the speed of native SATA
Also will any 2.5" harddrive work with lenovo's multi-bay addition that i bought? Their spec sheet says i need an IBM drive, but i doubt that's the case.
Also would another SSD card replace the "intel 1GB super drive". I assume they're the same thing.

What a marketing talk. There are plenty people working with a self-bought Seagate/ Hitache whatever drive in the Ultrabay.
IBM does only rebrand the drives they sell you.. a pricy rebrand..
