Use of UWB USB in t61p?

What use is the UWB USB card in the t61p right now? All I've been able to find are references to Wireless USB "hubs" that should've been out by now but don't look like they actually are. Are there any devices that're actually out that support it?

Thanks for bringing this new technology to my attention.

Can you say where you found the UWB in the specs or possibly elsewhere?
I just ordered 14" T61, but will cancel & reorder a T61P if the UWB was included.

Sir, please see this thread.

Also lenovo is having few problems with UWB (card) supplies so keep in mind if you cancel and reorder T61/p 15.4, your oder will be delayed for few more days/weeks.

Thanks for the link! It's infuriating trying to find information on Wireless USB since almost all the links I seem to be able to find are for 802.11 USB adapters or press releases.

I know my t61p has the UWB card since I was in it to install a Turbo Cache card I got inexpensively and more ram. Lenovo/IBM was nice enough to send me the screw kit under warranty, before my t61p even arrived!

So far I've just left the UWB card disabled since I don't expect to have anything to use it with for a while still.

september 2006 has come and gone and still we haven't seen any WUSB devices in bulk as the article may suggest.   it's almost september 2007 and we're just now seeing laptops with WUSB cards built-in.   both canon and nikon just announced a few dozen new digital cameras (both DSLR and P&S) and none of them have WUSB.   to the best of my knowledge, none of the microsoft mice have WUSB.   in fact, i have yet to see any other device supporting WUSB, period.   i hope we see devices soon but am not holding my breath for 2007.
