Diable password manager, but keep the fingerprint scanner on

#1 Post by t60newb » Mon Aug 27, 2007 2:41 pm

Hi,

As the title question, how can I disable the password manager, but keep the fingerprint scanner working?

I have used the msconfig to disable the client security solution and this will disable the fingerprint scanner.

Any ideas? all help appreciated

Paul

just uninstall CSS. The Fingerprint stuff is on it's on. You can install that without CSS as i've done.

If you have the same version of the Client Security Manager as I do on my T61, (Thinkvantage Client Security Solution), select "Password Manager", then from the top menu, select "Set Preferences" and finally on the "Advanced" tab, unCheck everything and that should do it.

I hope this helps.
