I am trying to get optimal configuration for my new T61/R61 but something out of my knowledge and definitely need your help:

1. "PC Card Slot & Express Card Slot" vs "PC Card Slot & Media Card Slot". Which of which to choose? What actually "Media card slot for"??
2. Wireless card option: a) ThinkPad 11 a/b/g... b) Intel PRO 3945 a/b/g ... c) Intel WiFi Link 4965 a/g/n (11 n disabled). Any preferences here and why??

Thank you for your help.

media card slot has lil slots to place camera memory (sd, cf, xd , etc.)
if you go with express, u'll be able to buy any kind of PC card and stick em in , and out as u wish. but with the media card, you'll be stuck with that only.

2. I went with the Thinkpad a/b/g, i heard it had a stronger signal than the intel, and also i have no need for the N signal. i will be in a dorm, and i have wifi throughout the whole campus.
also, it was 5 bucks cheaper.

And just a point, you can get media card readers, and ones that read WAY MORE card options than the built in ones, for only 10 bucks or so. I don't know of any express cards I'll need right now, but I do know that if I want to use my media cards so bad, a $10 thing I bought, that also reads compact flash, is very small and light, was better than crippling my machine forever

Are you talking about Express card with media cards slots I can buy for around $10 and use it as cards reader? Can you please point me where? It would be better choice I guess to get media cards reader as removable instead permanent solution.
