Hello everybody,

i'm trying to find a solution on how to see my samsung 32" lcd with native resolution (1366x 768) that connects to a T60p (V5250) through adv.mini dock and DVI cable.

I tried from presentation director (adding new schemes ) and through the ATI Catalyst control center, but I can't find this specific resolution.

Is there a way to make it appear? Have you experienced anything similar.

Thank you very much

Andrew

if you're using dvi, and the resolution is supported, it should be a simple plug and play. have you tried this?

the native resolution of the screen simply is not an option between the vaious alternatives. I've tried to plug and play , to "play" with presentation director and Catalyst , but that specific value (1366x 768) is not an option.
what can I do?

All of the supported refresh rates are at the bottom of this link -
http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site. ... MIGR-62722

I don't see yours listed = not supported.

I got the same results from searching as HarryC.
You should check if the samsung LCD you have has other resolutions that it supports... (this can probably done through the on screen set up)

thank you for your replies,

I tried other possible resolution combinations but none of them are giving me a clear picture and details.
Even in 1024x 768, wich is supported as stated in the tv manual , the text looks undefined.

too bad ...

I'll have to find some other solutions..

thank you all

Can you find a monitor definition file for your Samsung, perhaps on Samsung's site? Installing that file may make a difference - I'm not sure.

Here we are,

Thanks to searching on this forum I finally made it.

first i needed to install Powerstrip and load the native resolution of my ext.screen into the Powerstrip default ones. Than i rebooted and I applied from Powerstrip 1366 x 768 resolution.

Than I moved to the Windows (XP) display options and i've checked if this resolution was present between the defaults one, and they were..

Lastly I wanted it to appear in the Presentation Director , so

Go to Fn-F7 => "manage schemes" => "new" create a new one and go to regedit in the following location:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\IBM\NPdirect\Data\Common\Presentation Schemes\{THE NAME OF YOUR PROFILE WILL BE HERE}\01

Go to the key named "Resolution"

for 1366 X 768 put in:
hex: 03000556

Close the registry editor

Fn-F7 => "manage schemes" => "edit" =>"video" select

and there you are the resolution is ready !

After that I uninstalled Powerstrip not to have too many programs running at the same time.

Bye!

Andrew
