Buying a 7K200-200GB - SATA-150 or SATA-300?

As the SATA on the T61p is a SATA II, I am assuming, it is capable of 3 Gb/s, at least on paper.

I am thinking of going with the 300, but
a) it is not available yet (apparently soon)
b) it will probably be more expensive
but could be worth both the wait and the price if the T61p can really make use of the speed in real life.

Any opinions?

BTW, the code for the SATA-300 model is HTS722020K9A300

current thinkpads won't benefit from the added speeds since their throughput still hasn't made it close to 1.5GB/sec.   it would be a waste of money if the SATA 3GB/s drive costs more than its 1.5 counterpart.

i just bought a 200GB 7K200 for my T61p and am perfectly happy with its speed.   it is noticeably faster than the 100GB 7200.1 that it replaced.   if you need something faster then you should build a desktop with a dedicated SATA 3GB/s controller.   even then there are no guarantees. ;)
