For those of you having gaming problems with vista...

I have been unable to play CS source on my new T61p due to game crashes - this is not a thinkpad problem, rather a vista one. Windows released a 'hotfix' for this problem (untested patch) that should fix the problem. I just downloaded it and have not tried it but have heard good things from people on various forums.

I do not believe this is considered a hotfix in the sense that the patch is not tested. Originally this was released as a hotfix and not available puclically, though you could DL it from various sites. Now it is setup through WGA right from MS, so I think we can be fairly confident this patch is tested well.
Also, this patch really does work well.

It played ok on my t60 with an x1400 and 2 mb ram.
