Anytime Upgrade DVD with Vista Ultimate purchase?

#1 Post by bevross » Tue Sep 04, 2007 11:46 am

Hello: I ordered one of the T61p systems with Vista Ultimate and am wondering -- of those who ordered a system with Ultimate, did you get a Vista Anytime Upgrade DVD also?

I wanted to try the clean install I've read about on the forum at notebookreview.com and they talk in terms of using this DVD for this purpose.

Thanks for any info one way or the other.

If you ordered Ultimate why would they send an upgrade DVD, you can't upgrade anymore, right?

You can order that DVD from compusa.com, it is $5.00, shipped. They do not package them with the Vista Thinkpads as far as I know.

I have a question. My system originally shipped with Vista Ultimate 32 bit. I have now maxed out the ram on the system to 4 gig. Is there a way to get a 64 bit version of the OS from Lenovo?

Thanks
