Disappearing wireless WAN radio

#1 Post by Xaneth » Wed Sep 05, 2007 11:39 am

T60, model 2623DQU with the built in Verizon wireless WAN card, fresh software load. The wireless WAN radio does not exist when performing an Fn+F5. I realize that this is by design when the VZW manager is running, but I'm talking about when VZW access manager is closed. I would have to verify that it is not running as a process for some reason, but a reboot is the only thing that will bring it back. Software update somewhere perhaps? Known issue?

Any ideas? I've seen out here that people have downgraded their Access Connections software with some success. I haven't updated the firmware or anything yet either, this may help. I have quite a number of 2623's in the field, however, that are all on the same software/hardware revisions, operating fine.

Read through some posts on the forum and I need to verify that the firmware is up to date, and that all software (ThinkVantage Access software) and all drivers are up to date.
