Fingerprint - speed compromise

Prior to recently reformatting i was using the fingerprint scanner for log on and internet passwords. I only registered 3 fingers figuring it has to check against each image, yet if i loose a hand I still got an other hand and my big toe. (that was a joke i didn't really do the big toe). It really felt SLOW. I am reluctant to use the fingerprint scanner this time.

How much does installing numerous fingers slow down my start the function compared to one?

If i mangle my one and only registered finger climbing or in a saw is their ever an instance where i can't get to my computer?

Fingerprint reader has little to no part in slowing down your start-up. However if used in conjunction with CSS (Client Security Solution) then it will definitely slow down things a little bit.

XP vista differenace? or what gives

After a semester of my computer science friend (who does artificial intelligence and biometrics) saying "why don't you use you finger scanner?" "some poor computer scientist spent 5 years inventing that for you and you don't use it" "how would he feel if he know you never registered your fingers?" "so what if you think it is slower it took that person a few years to write their dissertation, you just have to wait a few seconds" ...fine

I re registered my finger. Before switching from vista to xp thinkvantage would store internet passwords and would fill in user password info with a swipe. This was convenient. why is it not working now? I went back several times to the thinkvantage finger programs looking for a missed tab or radio button. no luck.

How do i get this feature back?

I think you need have the Client Security Solution installed and configured for this feature (?) (Managing Logon Passwaords)

RATS!!!! foiled again.

That is the program that was slow.
How many seconds (range) you think this client security solution program delays startup?

I normally HATE bloat ware and rip it all out but i have to admit some of these thinkvantage features are nice. The Fn F7 presenter and screen setup changer is really nice.
