I've looked all over this board and can't seem to find anything on this topic.

I work for a small startup and has been using T41's and T42's for about 3 years now. Well, some of them have come to EOL and I'm replacing them with T60's, T60p's and maybe a few T61's.

My problem is I'm trying to build an Ghost Image with Ghost 8.2, using the network Boot Disks that I've created with the Intel Pro 1000 Drivers. But, when I boot the laptops off this floppy it does not see the Network card on the laptop and fails.

Now, I'm not the best with ghost so any detail that can be given would be great.

Thanks
Tim

I was under the impression that you don't need a floppy, what you need to do is set the boot priority correctly in the BIOS and it will work without a floppy. But personally I don't care for Ghost, so it's very possible that I am wrong. Have you looked at the options in the BIOS?

Which Intel PRO drivers are you using ?

Make sure they are the ones from this link : http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site. ... MIGR-67852

If you have a confirmed working bootdisk with your old machines (T41/T42), simply replace the e1000.dos file on that bootdisk with the one from the zip archive in the above link.

Let me know how you go.

Dwayne

PS: Make sure you've changed your SATA controller to compatability mode in the BIOS or you won't be able to see the hard drive in Ghost
