Some RAM (even though it is correct specs) does not work well with T61p GAMES. I ordered crucial RAM and it crashes games - I have heard good things about Transcend. Does anyone else have a good experience with RAM when it comes to games/ what games/ what RAM would be greatly appreciated as I am returning my crucial and going to buy some other RAM

Have you tried running Memtest or any other memory diagnostic? I know a few people with Crucial in T61/61P PCs and it seems to work fine. I probably have 50+ hours of gaming with 0 crashes.

two 2GB DDR2-667 crucial sticks here and no problems running autocad, solidworks, illustrator, and photoshop simultaneously.   i don't play games but that shouldn't matter.

try this guide for testing your memory.   if crucial's products are defective then they'll replace them.   i see absolutely no reason why you'd need to buy different modules -- crucial is one of the largest memory chip manufacturers in the world and many manufacturers use their chips.

ok ill try running your memory diagnostics tool - the ram runs fine other than in games where it either crashes or says freezes up alt tabs and says display driver has stopped working but has recovered. I do not have this problem when I am running 1gb of stock ram. I am also using vista x64 if you think that matters. Even when I reformatted to factory settings I had this problem - pc doctor comes up with nothing but ill try this memory thing - also I ordered the RAM off newegg, wil crucial still help me out?

OK figured out the problem! This is what I did... First I took out all the ram and just put in the 1 gb 1 dimm stick that came with the computer . FEAR and OS ran fine. I then took out the 1gb stock stick and replaced with 1 2gb stick of crucial. FEAR and OS ran fine. I then tried the other slot with the same stick - again FEAR and OS ran fine. I then repeated this using the other crucial stick (put it in both slots) FEAR and OS ran fine again. Then I tried a 2gb crucial and a 1 gb stock - everything including gmae ran fine. It seems there is only a problem (most likely between the vid card and 4gb RAM, or just the RAM) when there are 2, 2gb sticks (brand doesn't seem to matter.
