Are T61 & T60 Power Adapters....

#1 Post by CRSO » Fri Sep 07, 2007 10:54 pm

compatable with each other? They are both 20W in but one pack is 90W (T61P) and the other is smaller and is only 75W (T60).

Can they be interchanged between machines?
I'd rather have a 3 year old IBM than a new Dell (or HP)...

T60 and T61 use the same power supplies. But the T60/T61 machines that have higher power requirements (discrete graphcis, larger LCD, etc) have the 90W version of the supply.
Apathy is on the rise, but nobody seems to care.

AFAIK there is no 75 Watts Adapter for T60, if there is then I have never heard of it before.

If that was 65W/90W you meant to say then yes they're compatible but the former is not suitable for longer period of time on a power consuming machine like T61p.
