T60 burner stopped working

Hey, my burner on my laptop just stopped working out of the blue. I tried different media, searching for drivers and all but nothing has worked. Here is a picture of the error I get in Imgburn (and other programs).

Anyone have any clue what to do?

Can you still read CDs?
As luck would have it, mine failed this week too. Started making loud noises all of a sudden and failed to do anything else. No reading, no writing.
Called up Lenovo, got a new one, problem solved.

Your T60's warranty is still available, so make good use of it by calling Lenovo and complain about the burner.
Clue: Get a replacement burner from Lenovo.
