Whats the best place to go for ACCURATE & COMPLETE specs

What is the best place to go for ACCURATE & COMPLETE specs on Thinkpads?

The online specs on the support section are often missing information and are full of typos and errors...

Is there a better place to look?
I remember years ago IBM had an ftp server with spec pdfs in it...
Is that still on? Does anyone have the address for that?
