15" 4:3 SXGA+ IPS T7600 FireGL V5200 T60p - anyone?

I've been looking for a number of weeks now for the highest spec'd 15" 4:3 1400 x 1050 that was produced, and I think I've finally cracked it.
I placed my order today and if all goes well, it will be shipped by the middle of next week.
Does anyone here have the same setup?

Yes I have one and I am very happy with mine.
he only thing I do not like that much is that the sound is quite low.
All other is perfect.
One thing, I got the 5250 card instead of the anounced 5200.

I think I ordered the same one. The specs were a bit unclear about whether it was the V5200 or the V5250.
Do you have any issues with the noise level of the fan? I was able to order a 'silence kit'. Apparently it involves replacing one or more fan/heatsink components, a bios change and some software.

No, noise is no problem. For some time heat was an issue. The charger got to hot, but with some parameter changes in the bios (fan speed versus speed) this was resolved.

I've never heard of a "Silence kit." Is this something offered by IBM/Lenovo? Or maybe an attempt to value-add by a reseller?

RonS, I suspect it is the latter. I'll take a look at what they did when I get it delivered. If you're interested I can post a picture.

Interesting! I've been unsuccessfully trying to order
any Thinkpad with a Flexview/IPS LCD (have one today and don't want to downgrade...) for some weeks now. But Lenovo says that there are no IPSs anymore.
I even had an order cancelled because they were unable to deliver before the model went out of business (was a T60p - UT08Jxx).
Did you order one from a local distributor or directly from Lenovo?
