Hi all,
I downloaded and installed the Windows 2000/XP driver for my integrated camera for my T61 (running Vista Ultimate). However, I can't seem to get it to work. Do I need a program...such as the ones that my fellow Mac users use? If so, what are some good recommendations?
I can't seem to get my camera to work. Any help would be truly appreciated.

Install Microsoft Windows Live Messenger:

Once installed, launch messenger, go to Tools, Webcam settings. This will allow you to test the camera.

There is no camera software released by lenovo for Windows Vista. You'll need to hunt for a third party utility. Please look through the links GomJabbar has posted.

Some video chat tools could simply help you test what you want. Like CSV96 said windows live messenger, also as well as Skype. I have used skype for years, it always helped me to adjust my webcam.

It says that the camera is not connected or is being used by another program. The good news is that the green light is now on.

Try uninstalling the Windows XP/2000 driver. On my sister's T61 with webcam, it just worked without having to install the Lenovo driver. This was after a clean installed Vista. I assumed that Vista either had the driver already or automatically downloaded it during Windows Update.

The camera does work now using Windows Messenger, but doesn't show up in Scanners and Cameras (which is a Vista issue according to Lenovo).
What does everyone use that is the Windows equivalent to the Mac's Photo Booth?
The Lenovo Web cam software doesn't load for me some reason. It just has a link for Lenovo Tray, but that doesn't run anything.

Lenovo is working with Microsoft for the camera software for Windows Vista, as of this time you'll have to fulfill your needs via third party softwares like Windows Live Messenger etc.
If you're in a immediate need of camera software from lenovo at this momemt then I suggest you downgrade to Windows XP, the camera software is readily available for that version.
