Starting to dislike my t60

#1 Post by madcow » Tue Sep 18, 2007 11:53 am

1. Never got it to work well with my dell 24 inch LCD.

2. Screen too dim. I didn't realize this until I saw my friend's sony next to mine. I have set it to brightest.

3. The cover is starting to look ugly even after I cleaned it. It is probably the coating is wearing off.

I think I should have gotten a macbook pro instead. :(

I think you should sell it. It's really depressing to be using a computer that one doesn't like everyday.
Microsoft Surface 3 (Atom x7-Z8700 / 4GB / 128GB / LTE)
Dell OptiPlex 9010 SFF (Core i3-3220 / 8GB / 8TB); HP 8300 Elite minitower (Core i7-3770 / 16GB / 9.25TB)

I have the same complaints: Screen and lid finish, and would like to change to another notebook, somedays I feel like I would like to get the hell out of the Thinkpad brand.

However my notebook (T60) has not failed badly during a whole year´s use, it is so reliable and strong built that I will wait until my software performance really urges for a processing change. Maybe until 2009 when it is expected a really quality change in notebooks with Nehalem a new processor generation, Nand storage, better LED screens and maybe by that time, Thinkpad be offering a new family of notebooks which correct the present day problems and surpass competitors, if not ,Ciao Lenovo...
