I did. I ordered a system and it wasn't slated to be shipped for 4 weeks.

In the meantime, I realized I made a mistake in the configuration and ordered another one. I cancelled the original order (after being on hold for 2' 07") only to have it ship out two days later. BOTH of them shipped.

Well, I refused shipment and it went to somewhere in Durham, NC. This happen to anyone else? They still charged my card (of course).

Yes, it's happened to me on two systems two months ago. My purchase was non-refundable, but after I forwarded the cancelation confirmation e-mail they picked up the systems with a full refund.

I had the exact same thing happen. Ordered a T61. Realized I wanted something different, immediately called Lenovo to cancel. The unit still shipped. I called Lenovo again and they emailed a prepaid return shipping label and I returned the unit unopened the same day I received it. On my credit card statement, they refunded the original charge minus 15% restocking fee. One more call to Lenovo and I finally got the rest of my money back. I'm annoyed that I had to call 3 times for something that should have only taken 1 call, but I'm happy with what I have now.

The more advisable procedure is to accept the delivery, obtain an RMA, if already obtained then affix it on the box and then return it.
