Help! T60 stop booting when docked

I have my T60 set up on a advanced mini dock most of the time. When I rebooted the system yesterday, it stuck on on the first page (the first image when the power is turned on--the Thinkpad logo). I took it off the dock and it worked fine. Today the same thing happened. So I did a little further testing. It booted just fine on battery and on power, but again got stuck on dock.
I inspected the dock and the computer as thoroughly as I can with naked eye and found no sign of physical damage. I don't see how this can be a software issue either. As far as I know, there is no driver to corrupt for the dock (is there?).
I guess I can just call tech support and get a new dock (it's still in warrenty), but that could be a major hassel since I live in university residence and shipping can be a problem. I don't have much time to spare either. So I'd really appreciate it if you guys can help resolve the problem myself (if possible).
